The Malayan Tiger (Harimau Malaya in Malay), scientifically known as Panthera tigris jacksoni, is a rare subspecies native to Peninsular Malaysia. As the national symbol of Malaysia and the emblem of its national football team, this majestic creature is distinguished by its silky orange coat adorned with brilliantly distinct dark stripes. Male tigers can reach a height of 114 cm, an average length of 259 cm, and weigh up to 129.1 kg, while females are slightly smaller. The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species classifies the Malayan Tiger as “Endangered.”

马来亚虎(马来语称为Harimau Malaya),学名Panthera tigris jacksoni,是一种稀有的虎亚种,原产于马来西亚半岛。作为马来西亚的国家象征和国家足球队的标志,这种威严高贵的生物以其丝绸般的橙色皮毛和鲜明的深色条纹而闻名。雄虎身高可达114厘米,平均身长约259厘米,体重可达129.1公斤,而雌虎略小。根据世界自然保护联盟(IUCN)受威胁物种红色名录,马来亚虎被列为”濒危”(Endangered)级别。
